There is no movement of air in a Global Sun Oven®, allowing food to stay moist, tender and flavorful. Sun-baked roasts are tastier and more succulent, and sun-baked bread has unparalleled taste and texture. Sun-baked foods stay moister and have less shrinkage than conventional oven-cooked foods.
Quickly Reaches 360° to 400° Fahrenheit & Maintains the Heat

Sun Ovens reach temperatures of 360° to 400° Fahrenheit, which are more than sufficient to bake, boil, or steam your favorite foods. To retain heat, the oven interior is double-walled and lined with a thick batt of non-toxic insulation. It is covered with a tempered glass door and sealed with a gasket which forms an air-tight seal while preventing out-gassing from building up in the oven's chamber.
Food cooked in the sun and left in the oven will remain hot for hours. Cold air is held out allowing the Global Sun Oven® to be used on sunny days year around regardless of the ambient temperature.
Easy to Carry Anywhere & Quick to Set Up
To carry it anywhere, reflecting panels fold in and are easily secured with a strap. The Global Sun Oven® weighs only 21 pounds (9.5 kg), folds up like a suitcase, and has a handle for easy transport.
The Global Sun Oven® can be set up for use or taken down for storage in a matter of seconds. The one piece collapsible reflectors literally fall into place at an angle that allows you to maximize the power of the sun.
As the sun is at different points on the horizon the Global Sun Oven® can readily be adjusted to follow it. Choose from 9 angled positions on an easily adjustable, self-contained leveling leg to maintain the oven's maximum exposure to the sun.
Quality Built for Lifetime of Trouble-Free Use
Sun Oven outer shell is made of a strong ABS plastic case that is highly durable and easy to clean. The reflectors are made of highly polished, mirror-like anodized aluminum that can be cleaned quickly and easily with glass cleaner, and they will never oxidize or rust.
Black inner shell is formed from aluminum coated with non-toxic, high temperature powder coating. Coating is baked on and does not emit any toxic fumes - like other industrial paints or coatings. Gasket that seals the oven chamber is made from patented material specifically designed to withstand UV radiation.
Estimated service life of Global Sun Ovens® is 20+ years; with proper care the oven can last a lifetime!
Self-adjustable Spill-proof Shelf
There is no need to worry about your food spilling in a Global Sun Oven®. While cooking, your food rests on a shelf that self adjusts to always stay level as you tilt the oven towards sun. The shelf can be easily removed to make cleaning easier - or expand the baking area.
Works 2 ways: as an oven or as a crock-pot
There are two ways to cook in a Global Sun Oven®. If you refocus the oven to follow the sun every 25 to 30 minutes, cooking times and methods will be very similar to cooking with a conventional stove or oven. The even temperature of the Global Sun Oven® prevents burning, so you do not even need to stir your food while it is cooking.
Or a Global Sun Oven® can be used for slow cooking, much like a crock-pot. You can prepare your dinner, put it in the Global Sun Oven®, point the oven where the sun will be approximately halfway through the time you will be gone. Leave, and come home to a tasty, slow-cooked dinner. If you run late, there is no need to worry; the Global Sun Oven® will keep your food warm, moist, and fresh for hours.
